Our
Story
Get to Know Us
A different kind of agency, born from a different point of view.
Aurea Pacific began with a shared belief that the most meaningful marketing happens at the intersection of culture, creativity, and human connection.
Founded by two women with backgrounds spanning creative direction, content, photography, hospitality, events, community, and operations, we saw an opportunity to build something that brought those worlds together. An agency that understood the power of digital influence, but also the value of creating something people could experience in real life.
Rooted in Hawaiʻi and informed by our connection to the greater Asia-Pacific, Aurea Pacific was created to serve as a bridge between brands and the communities they hope to reach. We bring a local perspective with a global lens, creating thoughtful campaigns, experiences, and partnerships that feel relevant to the people and places they’re designed for.
Because influence may begin on a screen, but impact happens when people feel something.
Meet our Founders
These are our founding partners.

Melissa Martinez Kim
Co-founder & Chief Operations Officer
Melissa is a seasoned strategic executive with a career spanning government, PR, and executive operations across the Indo‑Pacific. Known for her behind‑the‑scenes leadership, she specializes in reputation management, strategic stakeholder engagement, and high‑level event and multicultural protocol management. Her work blends private-sector experience with public-sector operational insight, shaped by roles in state government, nonprofit, and agency.
She brings a rare blend of cultural fluency and executive‑level communications expertise. Her work is rooted in understanding how brands show up meaningfully in Pacific markets — through storytelling, experiential activations, and region‑specific strategy.
Melissa is dual heritage Korean and Puerto Rican, born in Seoul and raised in North Carolina before finding her roots both professionally and personally in Hawaiʻi. This cross-cultural foundation gives her a natural fluency in bridging different worlds, paired with a grounding in diplomatic protocol, government relations, multicultural stakeholder engagement, and high level event strategy.

Lisa Song
Co-founder & Chief Creative Officer
Lisa Song is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Aurea Pacific, bringing together a background in hospitality, photography, social media, and entrepreneurship to shape the agency’s creative vision.
Her career began in fine dining, including Morimoto NYC, where she developed an instinct for thoughtful hospitality, attention to detail, and creating experiences that leave an impression. She later translated that same sensibility into photography and eight years as a content creator, building a community of more than 50,000 across social platforms and developing a distinct eye for visual storytelling.
Lisa’s creative philosophy is simple: the strongest brands do not follow trends, they help shape it. Her approach blends intentional social strategy, artful storytelling, and a deep understanding of audience to create brands and campaigns that feel relevant, distinctive, and ahead of what’s next.
Korean American and shaped by life in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Japan, and Hawaiʻi, Lisa brings a global perspective and a close pulse on the exchange between Asia Pacific and the U.S., particularly across beauty, wellness, hospitality, fashion, and emerging culture.
